Youth Services Programming

The staff of the Youth Services Department presents programs on a variety of topics for a wide range of ages. Often there is an age or grade limit designated for each program. While the topics being presented may be of interest to a younger or older audience than intended, these age or grade limits are based on what would be both developmentally beneficial and socially appropriate to the group in general. Suggestions or recommendations for programs are always welcome.

Drop-in programs do not require registration. The registration for all other programs begins two weeks in advance. A valid Plainfield Library card is required for all registered programs. Click on the links above or call the Youth Services Desk at 815.439.2877 to register.

If you are not able to attend a program for which you are registered, please let us know so that we can open your spot for someone else.

Cat with clockPunctuality

While we understand that there are times when being late cannot be avoided, we ask that attendees do not arrive more than 10 minutes after a program’s start time in order to avoid disruptions to the program and to make sure that your child receives all of the information and instruction that is presented at the beginning of the program.
