Head of Account Services

Are you passionate about customer service? Are you ready to join a dynamic, forward-thinking management team? The Plainfield Public Library District is looking for a positive, customer-focused, organized individual to lead our busy Account Services Department. We need an experienced supervisor who can help manage the multitude of challenges and opportunities of today’s demanding public library environment.  Supervises up to twenty staff, including Shelving Assistants.

Full-time exempt position, includes evenings and weekends. Salary from $58,000 commensurate with experience. Generous benefits package, IMRF.  

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or LTA certification and minimum of 5 years’ experience in Circulation and 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.

Plainfield Public Library is a suburban library, serving a population of over 75,000 people from several communities. Plainfield is located in Will County and bordered by Naperville to the north and Joliet to the south. Plainfield can be conveniently accessed by I-55, Route 30 and Route 59.
