Banned Books Week September 25-30
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Held September 25-30, 2017, it highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers — in shared support of the freedom to seek and express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.
Visit the Reference Desk at the Library to answer a banned books trivia question for prizes and check out many of the books that have been challenged or banned over the years on display.
